Shackets The Perfect Layering Piece for Fall

As we transition from summer to fall, it’s time to add some stylish layers to your favorite tees and tanks, and the shacket is the ideal solution. This versatile wardrobe staple is effortlessly chic and has become a favorite among celebrities and style influencers.

What Is a Shacket?

“A shacket is a blend of a shirt and a jacket,” explains lifestyle and fashion blogger Hang Nguyen. It typically features an oversized silhouette and is made from heavier materials, distinguishing it from a traditional shirt. While shackets lack the hood or lining of a typical jacket, they’re perfect for layering over tees, tanks, or long-sleeved shirts.

Why We Love Shackets

Experts rave about the shacket’s versatility. Stylist Rebecca Dennett notes you can wear it “belted, open, or buttoned up with a turtleneck underneath,” highlighting the endless styling possibilities. Nguyen adds that shackets can be worn alone or layered with other clothing, available in a wide array of styles and fabrics like flannel, denim, and leather, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Shackets are also suitable for various occasions, whether you’re heading out for a stylish brunch or taking your dog for a walk. They serve as the perfect transitional piece for fall, providing just the right amount of warmth without being too heavy. Stylist Candice Lambert sums it up well: “It’s light enough not to overheat, yet thick enough to keep you cozy.”

Embrace the shacket this season and elevate your fall wardrobe!

What truly sets it apart are the authentic 1950s pearl snap buttons, each a unique vintage enamel, ensuring that every shirt is one-of-a-kind.”
