Nuuly Subscription

I have been struggling with my wardrobe this year. I feel like my style is changing as I’m aging out of my early 20s and really need some inspiration. I tried out Nuuly this month and have been absolutely loving it. You get to rent six different pieces each month, and if you like what you’re wearing you can purchase it at a heavily discounted rate or just send it back if it doesn’t work for you. I love how easy it was to receive and send back, and that I was able to find pieces I love without a full commitment. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator

Zara Faux-Leather Bomber Jacket

Best for fall, this leather jacket from Zara is the perfect blend of oversized and bomber. I’m on the petite side, and it’s long enough to offer a bit more protection from the cold without swallowing me whole. I love that it comes in dark brown, which I’ve been looking for this year. It’s warm too — not warm enough for below-freezing temps but warm enough for layering in 40-degree weather. — Michelle Rae Uy, testing and updates writer

Pistola Adina Sweater in Fern

One of my style goals of 2024 was to add more color into my wardrobe, and this verdant sweater certainly helped. It’s a medium-weight acrylic blend, which keeps me incredibly warm. The fit is perfectly slouchy, and it’s not too long. The sweater is such a fun layering piece, and I’ve loved pairing it with other bright accessories, like a pink headband or a yellow handbag, to add to the playful color combos. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor

Sonoma Goods For Life Men’s Corduroy Snap-Closure Jacket

For the second year in a row, the Sonoma brand continues to pull through for me when it comes to cheap clothes that look and feel great. I picked up this corduroy jacket on Black Friday while searching for something warm enough for winter but nice enough for a night out at a show, and it’s been in near-daily rotation ever since. Every time I walk around this coat, I think, “Man, I look so cool. No one will ever know I bought this at Kohl’s.” — Mike Andronico, senior tech editor

NN07 Gael 8267 Checkered Jacket

Now, I’m sure you’re thinking, “Hey Rikka, isn’t that the jacket from FX’s ‘The Bear’?” And yeah, you’re right. It is. But I didn’t buy the Gael wool jacket to try to copy Jeremy Allen White’s brooding persona. Earlier this year, I just so happened to stumble into NN07’s Soho store, and it was love at first sight for this quirky piece of outerwear. This jacket is so comfy and layers perfectly with all the sweaters, hoodies and crewnecks I’ve been obsessed with this winter. — Rikka Altland, senior deals editor

[BLANKNYC] Crochet With Sherpa Jacket

This was a style I rented from Nuuly last winter and ended up purchasing because it’s such a great piece. I love the crafty feel of the crocheted sleeves combined with the coziness of the sherpa. On the inside, it’s decently thick and quilted, so it actually keeps me toasty in chilly weather. It’s a great style that stands out but is easy to pair with most of my wardrobe. I get compliments on it all the time. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor

Unif Pichu Sweater

This year has been all about leaning into my inner teenage self. I came across this sweater that reminded me exactly like one I used to have as a kid. It has that same soft and cozy feel, thanks to Peruvian alpaca. Although it’s nostalgic, it also feels timeless to me. — Molly Flores, photo editor

ThirdLove Kinetic Adjustable Sports Bra

I rediscovered ThirdLove this year, which prompted me to throw out all my old bras and replace them with new ones from the brand. The brand’s T-shirt Bra is perfect for everyday wear, but I’m also a fan of the Kinetic sports bra, which has built-in cups for workouts. It’s supportive without being restrictive, tagless and has a traditional bra closure. Plus, the adjustable straps can be worn in multiple ways. — Rachel Dennis, editorial coordinator

Rails Hills Trench Coat

Rails was a brand I was introduced to this year, and now it’s one of my go-tos for elevated basics. From super-soft knits to daily denim styles, as well as chic jackets like this leather-look trench coat, the brand has a ton of cool clothes to shop. This piece has become one of my favorite alternatives to a normal rain jacket. It pulls together any look when paired with my waterproof Chelsea boots. While this specific style is nearly sold out, Rails has a bunch of other outerwear worth checking out. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor
